Presenter Peter Krogh
Photographer Peter Krogh brings a creative approach and
20 years of experience to the challenging subject of digital
asset management. In addition to contributing many of the
articles in ASMP's digital photography resources, Krogh
is the author of The DAM Book,
Digital Asset Management for Photographers, (O'Reilly,
2005).
Program Description
Peter Krogh presents an integrated Digital Asset Management
workflow, based on the principles outlined in his The
DAM Book.
This evening program is a lecture-format presentation of
the principles of digital asset management. In this seminar,
Peter outlines how you can:
Creating and using metadata
Setting up naming conventions
Configuring and implementing affordable hardware
solutions
Adjusting your images efficiently
Using cataloging software to organize and proof your
images and
Making Adobe Bridge and iView MediaPro work together
to streamline your image-processing work.
Due to the volume of material covered, the seminar offers
a very limited opportunity to ask questions about the presentation.
As one would expect, video recording of the seminar is prohibited.
Preparation for the Workshop
All of the material that will be presented is contained
in the instructor's book, The
DAM Book; you might find that you have a good head
start on the concepts presented by reading it. Here is a sample
chapter as well as an article
on a related topic, using DNG in camera-raw workflows.
Feel free to post questions on theDAMbook
Forum.
Thanks to Adobe
Systems for support and sponsorship of this program.
It should be noted that the evening
seminar is a prerequisite for anyone wishing to take the
all-day workshop at another time.
